The frozen sea / das Meer gefrorene, was born from the meeting in Dresden in 2000 Alban Lefranc, writer and translator, and Robert Seyfert, philosopher. They were joined by Thomas Bietz, sociologist, Frederik Hartig, Germanic, and Marina Barre teacher. Far from sounding speech on Franco-German friendship, it was first to live out a review of creative and critical, fully bilingual, and placed under the order of Kafka: "A book must be the ax which breaks the frozen sea within us.
